Your business calendar within Zyncro

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

A new Zyncro integration has arrived: it is now possible to “zyncronize” your Google Calendar within your corporate Zyncro.  All you need to activate this application is to already have configured a calendar within your Google account (whether this is corporate or personal).

As with all other ZyncroApps, the Administrator first has to activate the app from the Administration panel.

Then you need to access the right hand menu from your Profile > Integration with Google Calendar and in the same way as with the LinkedIn ZyncroApp, you will discover a screen to “Connect with your Google Calendar”.

After clicking on this option you must:

  1. Introduce your user name (or Google e-mail) and password, then “Allow access” for Zyncro to access your Google account.  Once you have entered your information into Google, the registration screen will not appear again.
  2. If a Google account appears by default and you wish to link it to another, you may do so by using the “Sign out” link in the right hand corner of the screen.
  3. If the calendar you wish to see in your corporate calendar is different to the one you see once you have allowed access, the application will take you back to your Profile. Go back to “Integrate with Google Calendar” to select the calendar you wish to zyncronize.

This calendar can be seen in the right hand panel on the screen of all sections within your ZyncroHome, Files and GroupsDepartments/CompaniesTasksPeople and Profile, where every calendar date containing an event will be indicated with a small triangle in the top left corner.

When you click on this date, you will be able to see just underneath it the time, the title and place of the event or registered events on the day clicked.

In addition, you can also “Create events” from within Zyncro which will automatically pass over to your Google calendar and vice versa.  In order to create an event you must define the Title, Date and start and end Time as well as a Place, though both the title and place fields are not compulsory.  Start by clicking on the day you wish to create an event on so that the application will automatically offer you that selected date.  The time that will appear by default will be 9:00 to 10:00 am.

Do not miss a single important date… Zyncronize your Google Calendar right away!
