Zyncro receives a new award for technology innovation

    Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Updated on September 27: Thanks to everyone who joined us at the awards ceremony!

    ***

In light of the crucial role that innovation takes in creating dynamism in business activities these days and in which Zyncro plays its part, the COETTC (Colegio de Ingenieros Técnicos y Peritos de Telecomunicaciones de Cataluña) has awarded us with the ex aequo award for Technology Innovation, a new recognition that we receive with much pleasure and enthusiasm, and which gives us that extra push to continue working for business innovation.

Their Awards for Business Excellence in ICT are presented each year, and on this occasion, have gone to institutions and companies like Aventia (“Business Excellence” category), Sant Cugat City Council (“Sustainable Development” category), Televisión de Catalunya, Cadena Ser and the newspaper Ara. In the technology innovation category, in which this year we have been presented with the award together with Serhs Food Service, COETTC recognizes companies that stand out for creating value products that contribute to social, cultural or economic improvement, and for developing products that incorporate new features, techniques or technologies associated with IT and telecommunications.

The awards will be presented during Diada de las Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (Catalan Telecommunications Day), which will take place on the morning of September 26 at CosmoCaixa. It is one of the most important and representative events of the ICT sector both in Catalonia and in the rest of the Spanish state. This 11th edition will cover ICT from the areas of business creation and talent retention, discussing current news topics in the ICT sector, and analyzing the new trends this year and the forecast for the upcoming months.

At the end of the day, the Awards for Business Excellence will be presented, at which we hope we can count on your support. Zyncro will collect this new recognition for daily innovation, working to create technology development designed to improve business management.

We want to share this award with all the companies that have joined Zyncro in the innovation revolution.

Zyncro: innovating with you and your company day by day… Will you join us?

Having received news that we have been awarded Best Startup of the Year according to EuroCloud Spain, and that we will compete within the same category in Europe, we have also heard that we have been chosen as finalists at the Bully Awards 2012 that reward innovation on a European scale!

Market strategies, business idea, company growth in terms of the number of customers and adaption to customers’ specific needs, as well as expansion in new countries are some of the criteria assessed at the Bully Awards, and some of the reasons why we won the Young Bully in the 2011 edition.

The 2012 nomination demonstrates the hard work and great effort made by the entire Zyncro team, headed up by Lluís Font and Dídac Lee. So once again we will reap the rewards for having chased after our goals with international recognition, this time highlighting our future potential, international growth, and constant improvement that has enabled us to pull ahead of the competition and place us as one of the leaders in the TMT (Technology, Communication Media, and Telecommunications) sector in Europe.

Excellence in communication has its award

    Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Last Thursday, December 15, the winners of the “National Communication Awards 2011” (in catalan) presented by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Catalan regional government, were announced. Much to Zyncro’s  joy, Dídac Lee, our founder and alma mater, was presented with an award in the Internet category.

Why give an award to a figure like Dídac Lee?

Communication nowadays has varied in its models and forms, evolving towards a more horizontal structure in which anyone with an Internet access is capable of generating and above all, publishing and circulating content, giving their opinion on current events and life in general. Bloggers have been proclaimed the fifth power, with the ability to provide new data and new perspectives to everyday events taking place around us.

From his own social communication channels (Twitter, Facebook…), through his companies such as Zyncro (in which he champions the optimization of corporate communication, as you already know) and from within Fútbol Club Barcelona, Dídac Lee has made his information flows democratic and has always worked on the premise of sharing knowledge and optimizing those flows.

Now the Generalitat de Catalunya has recognized his communication efforts by presenting him (presenting us) with this award.

Thanks and congratulations, Dídac, for communicating… and for communicating about us.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 22 in the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona at 7pm.

At Zyncro, we applaud this acknowledgement. We are working so that this way of communicating instilled by Dídac becomes more visible and more tangible in organizations, in order to improve productivity, competitivity and business processes on a global level. By communicating, people can reach an understanding.

Zyncro wins the Young Bully (Bully Awards 2011)

    Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Didac Lee & Luis Font with the Young Bully award

Thursday was a very happy day at the Zyncro office (almost very – R.I.P. Steve Jobs) as on Wednesday we were awarded the Young Bully prize.  The prize was handed to the co-founders of ZyncroDídac Lee (Chairman) and Luis Font (CEO) during the Bully Awards ceremony at the Xalet de Montjuïc restaurant (Barcelona).

The Bully Awards is a prize of recognition for leading technology and telecommunications firms on a European level and are based on criteria such as excellence, future potential, business ideas, market strategies or technological solutions.  This international recognition places Zyncro among the most important, valuable and promising start-ups on the continent.

Being nominated as one of the 60 finalist companies was already great cause for satisfaction at the time but to actually take away the Young Bully, one of the Bully Awards categories that prizes businesses that are looking for or have received “Series A” funding (businesses that are in their initial phase), confirms that the steps taken up until this moment have followed the correct path.  It provides us with the right amount of recognition and motivation to continue efforts towards achieving our objectives and pushes us forward to look for new challenges, to keep growing and maturing as we have done so far.

Zyncro, winner of the BDigital Award for Innovation: The story of a journey

    Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

    The story of a journey

The awarding of the BDigital Award for Digital Innovation took place on 31st of May.  These are prizes very much oriented towards supporting initiatives and projects, business-people and under-graduates that promote technological innovation in the digital world.

Great was the expectation awakened within the Zyncro team from the moment we learned that we were finalists.  The hope of gaining recognition of such magnitude, a boost into the public eye after all the months, years… dedicated towards the project meant that from Girona/Barcelona to Argentina, as well as in Brazil and Japan, there were many people awaiting the final outcome.

We even endured the wait alongside the team members of GooTaxi, from Sysandapp S.L, our opponents in the competition but brothers along the journey, team members from Inspirit Group incubator whose product for taxi requests via mobile applications is also marvellous. :)

Finally during the BDibital Global Congress institutional act, the awarding of the prize began by informing us of the good news: Zyncro was the prize winner in the category for “small companies and entrepreneurs”!! 😀

The joy was let loose at the Zyncro Barcelona office, the attendees at BDigital hugged each other, from both places we began to publish comments on Zyncro, tweeting, publishing on Facebook… how exciting!

Collecting the prize was Dídac Lee and the Chairman of Inspirit, business group and Zyncro parent company as well as Albert Sampietro, CTO at Zyncro.

The delight on Didac and Albert’s faces said it all.  It was a sheer honor to receive that prize after three hard years crossing dessert sands, a time in which Zyncro evolved, searching for its place in the marketplace, its very own functions, its personality… until it became the robust product with a clear identity that it is today: a business social network an intranet 2.0 in the cloud in which knowledge, documents and  people live side by side and interact with each other for the improvement of communication, productivity and motivation within the company.

Thanks go out to the judges, to the participants, to the business partners… and of course, to the members of the team. :)  Without them it would not have been possible to even get to that scenario… but overall to their families, who always support the workloads of these insatiable entrepreneurs.

And a special mention for our CEO, Luis Font, currently in Brazil where he is opening our new office and without whom Zyncro would not be setting off on the journey it is beginning… we would also like to add a dear THANK YOU to all of you who have congratulated us on Twitter, Facebook, in person or via e-mail.  It is such an honor to receive so much support via so many different channels! 😀

If you would like to know more about the event and the awarding of the prize, you can follow the following Storify of the second day at the event (in Spanish, thanks @pisetpiset) or the press release issued by BDigital.

In addition, we will be waiting for you to join us today for the presentation about “Corporate Social Networks” at the event that will take place between 11:30 and 12:30 during the BEST PRACTICES MARKETING AND THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS WITHINT THE COMPANY session.

    Thanks everyone.  Zyncronized!

To conclude, here is the information on all of the finalists in their different categoriesWell done to everybody for beings standards for measuring innovation! We are all in the same boat! :)

Category for large and medium-sized companies
