    News in Zyncro Groups 

    It is being a while that Zyncro is working on a set of new features with the aim to release them once the summer is gone. And of course, we hope to cause a stir :). We have got some months ahead before that happens,  nonetheless. To start warming up we are launching several new features that sure will be very useful to all of you. Let’s get started.

    Notifications in Zyncro groups

    Since version 4.3.3. group owners in Zyncro have the ability to not only set up group notifications by default  but also to reapply these settings to all group members at  any given time.  This new feature is specially useful for groups dealing with sensitive information or when it is important to guarantee that all  members are aware of  a particular piece of information and they get notified.     Zyncro Mail: add an email manager to your corporate Zyncro

    At Zyncro we understand that email is not only one of the top corporate communication tools, but also one of the most time-consuming tasks each day. That’s why we’ve found a way to optimize email use and make it much easier to manage within a social environment.

    The ZyncroApp adds an email manager to your corporate Zyncro and allows each user to view their inbox and respond (send, reply, forward, mark as spam and delete emails) quickly and easily, without having to sign out of the Enterprise Social Network.

    Thanks to ZyncroMail, your email will be integrated into your work environment and all your corporate knowledge and information will be accessible from the same place.

    How do I start using ZyncroMail?

    To begin, your company administrator must enable the ZyncroApp from the Admin Panel. All users will then have the option of activating it by going to the right-hand menu on their Profile, where they will see the option to configure ZyncroMail.

    Increase interaction within your Enterprise Social Network by recommending users, groups, departments and companies

    One of the most interesting benefits of an Enterprise Social Network is the access it provides to corporate knowledge and to the people you share interests, tasks and projects with. This amplifies shared knowledge improving the team management and productivity of groups and avoiding any duplication of work efforts.

    From today with this ZyncroApp you will be able to recommend users, groups, departments or the companies that you consider the most interesting to any of your contacts, thereby achieving greater interaction among all the members of your community, and thus getting more followers for the most relevant content.

    You can make a recommendation from different sections of the platform:

    • From your contact list, inside your profile section in Zyncro, you can also do it within the user’s profile that you want to recommend. For this, you must follow the user. Suggestionsfromusers1
    • From within the group, just for open groups in which you are a member.
    • From the list of companies or departments, or even from the very same page of the company or department, just if you are a member or a follower. Suggestionsfromusers2

    The recommendation will arrive through a private message to all the contacts you select.

    Drive unified communication in your company through Zyncro’s integration with Lync 

    Lync is Microsoft’s unified communications technology for enterprises. The system provides users with instant messaging and voice and video calls, all in one place, improving people’s connectivity and boosting productivity in organisations.

    Lync integration with Zyncro will make your teams communication more effective and cut costs.

    One of the core requirements of effective team collaboration is knowing which of your colleagues are working, connected and available. This is particularly essential for relocated organisations or companies with teams operating in different time zones.

    Following this integration, you will be able to see which people in your company are connected at all times—using both your Enterprise Social Network’s wall and your people directory—and start a conversation, a call or an online meeting with whoever you want from there.

    How does Zyncro’s integration with Lync work?

    To use this integration, you need to have Lync installed on the devices with which users access their corporate Zyncro. To set it up, the organisation’s administrator has to enable this ZyncroApp in the Admin Panel.

    Next, users have to configure it using their Zyncro corporate profile > Contact information. They can do this by entering their Lync username and selecting the “I have Lync client installed” checkbox.

    As companies make more use of their Enterprise Social Networks, their shared information multiplies exponentially from one day to the next. This calls for a suitable structure that gives users access to well organised data at all times so they can do their jobs more quickly and efficiently.

    That’s why we’ve been working hard on version 4.2 of our platform, which incorporates significant improvements to accessibility and information flow control.  

    Zyncro 4.2 gives more controlled, manageable and structured access to your organisation’s knowledge.

    For this new version, we’ve developed Group and Subgroup functionality, which allows network members to order the work spaces in which people, messages and documents are categorised so that everyone has access to the knowledge specific to their sphere of work.

    With version 4.2 of Zyncro, you can arrange your collaborators into specific work groups and personalise the access that each member has to certain conversations and documents, assigning them different security clearances in the associated subgroups.

    At Zyncro, we are constantly improving in order to offer our users native applications for all mobile devices. If you’re a Windows Phone user, try our app now and access your Corporate Social Network information from your mobile phone, while remaining connected to your work teams in real time.

    For this application we have designed a fast, stable interface, with clear, and very usable intuitive browsing. With the goal of adapting the user experience to the habits of Windows Phone users, the interface has been designed in Metro style, a new visual style that is gradually being integrated into all Microsoft applications and whose main feature is simplicity of interaction with the screen.

    When accessing Zyncro from your Windows phone, you will see a main screen which will provide quick access to your most important Corporate Social Network sections: messages, files, people, groups, departments and your user profile, which will be personalised with your picture.     Discover Who In Your Enterprise Social Network Has Seen Your Profile

    Thanks to this new Zyncro feature, you will be able to check out who has viewed your profile within your Enterprise Social Network and on what day they viewed it. With this ZyncroApp you will have a new tool to know what information of which you share in your network is the most useful or interesting to other members.   

    Check out who has visited your profile, at what moment, and pull out the conclusions of what content you shared that generated interest, or what influence the messages you publish have in the number of visits you receive.  

    To use this application, the administrator must first enable it from the Admin Panel> ZyncroApps.

    Once the app is enabled, you can already start using it. Just access to your profile section in Zyncro and see who has seen your profile recently by browsing the displayed list that will show you all the visitors chronologically, starting with the most recent visitor first. You will see which users have recently viewed your profile, both if they are inside your organization or even if they are from another company, the latter only if they also have this ZyncroApp enabled.

    In addition, from this very section you will have the ability to directly access the profiles of those who have seen or visited your own profile. You can do this by clicking on their user name or on the ‘View Profile’ button that you will find directly on the right side.

    Thanks to the ZyncroApp Organization Chart, members in your Enterprise Social Network will be able to access a structured and orderly chart of your company, displaying the photograph of each member, their name, position and area.

    With Organization Chart you will be able to discover “Who’s Who” in your organization, with a hierarchical structure that begins by showing your own location in the company. From there, the organization chart will allow you to browse laterally, up and down while opening the tree with all of its members, their managers and their employees.

    Zyncro Tags – Sort Your Organization’s Knowledge in a Collaborative Way by using Tags

    The ZyncroApp Tags will allow you to structure the knowledge of your organization collaboratively, this is thanks to the tags that the members of your Enterprise Social Network may add to each message they post. With Tags you will be able to find in your Enterprise Social Network relative information of topics that interest you more quickly, detect trends or subject matter within your organization and review the conversation that is generated around them in any given moment.  

    Adding a tag to any message is as simple as typing the “#” symbol, and then the word will serve as a tag within the same message, you can also select and activate the “tags” section in your Zyncro and include the terms that you want to use as tags. Furthermore, by making use of this section, the system will provide tag suggestions, previously used in your Enterprise Social Network, that match the text being typed.

    ZyncroApp Tags

    The tags that the members of your organization use, in time will form a tag cloud that will be displayed in the right sidebar of your Zyncro, and you will be able to classify them into families according to their theme or type.

    In addition, users can subscribe to tags or families that interest them, and so each message labeled with the term to which they have subscribed will be displayed in their Activity Stream (Home section) and, if desired, they will receive a notification that a new message has been posted (options: “Follow” and “Follow and notify”).
