“Your success is my success…” This is business 2.0

    Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

A few weeks ago we had some good news from Didac Lee, Founder and CEO of the technology group Inspirit.  We were finalists in the Entrepreneur category for the annual prize awarded by the Entrepreneur Magazine.

For those of you who do not know him, Didac Lee is a devoted entrepreneur who currently has an active role within a wide range of technological companies (some of these have been founded by him) such as:

We believe he is Zyncro’s and many other companies’ “alma mater” because throughout his career Didac Lee has had so many truly good ideas where technology can be applied to business.

Now Zyncro is led by Lluis Font who has been our CEO since September 2010 so now as well as having a “mater”, we also have a “pater” who guides us and teaches us to make tiny companies into very large ones.

Both of them are vey well known within business and technology but it is not just they who have a “well known name”.  Each of our team members are developing their digital reputation or their personal branding in their own way which helps Zyncro as much as the people it is made up of.  Just take a look at the profiles of Ana Fernández, Agustin Bosso… or even my own, Patricia Fernández Carrelo

Didac Lee wrote “Your success is our success” on our corporate wall not so long ago when we told him that we had voted for him.  And your success is our success Didac!  If you win, we do too, as we would if Luis, Ana, Agustin… or Patricia should.

This is business 2.0, where people are known by their full names, by their websites, their powerful Twitter accounts and their numerous LinkedIn contacts… They belong to a company and work as a group but they also have their own reputation and prestige as individuals.

So going back to what we were saying, we would like to invite all of our blog readers and all of those who have a Corporate Social Networks, those who reserve taxis using their mobiles, those who book hotel rooms via their websites, or those who use antispam tools…  to vote for Didac, because directly or indirectly (you may have tried the competition but you can still help… because it will help us grow!) you will have taken part in his entrepreneurial activities.

You can read the Interview published in the Entrepreneur Magazine here so that you can get to know him a little better.

And here you can vote for the candidates in the different areas.

Zyncro wins the Young Bully (Bully Awards 2011)

    Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Didac Lee & Luis Font with the Young Bully award

Thursday was a very happy day at the Zyncro office (almost very – R.I.P. Steve Jobs) as on Wednesday we were awarded the Young Bully prize.  The prize was handed to the co-founders of ZyncroDídac Lee (Chairman) and Luis Font (CEO) during the Bully Awards ceremony at the Xalet de Montjuïc restaurant (Barcelona).

The Bully Awards is a prize of recognition for leading technology and telecommunications firms on a European level and are based on criteria such as excellence, future potential, business ideas, market strategies or technological solutions.  This international recognition places Zyncro among the most important, valuable and promising start-ups on the continent.

Being nominated as one of the 60 finalist companies was already great cause for satisfaction at the time but to actually take away the Young Bully, one of the Bully Awards categories that prizes businesses that are looking for or have received “Series A” funding (businesses that are in their initial phase), confirms that the steps taken up until this moment have followed the correct path.  It provides us with the right amount of recognition and motivation to continue efforts towards achieving our objectives and pushes us forward to look for new challenges, to keep growing and maturing as we have done so far.

Zyncro, winner of the BDigital Award for Innovation: The story of a journey

    Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

    The story of a journey

The awarding of the BDigital Award for Digital Innovation took place on 31st of May.  These are prizes very much oriented towards supporting initiatives and projects, business-people and under-graduates that promote technological innovation in the digital world.

Great was the expectation awakened within the Zyncro team from the moment we learned that we were finalists.  The hope of gaining recognition of such magnitude, a boost into the public eye after all the months, years… dedicated towards the project meant that from Girona/Barcelona to Argentina, as well as in Brazil and Japan, there were many people awaiting the final outcome.

We even endured the wait alongside the team members of GooTaxi, from Sysandapp S.L, our opponents in the competition but brothers along the journey, team members from Inspirit Group incubator whose product for taxi requests via mobile applications is also marvellous. :)

Finally during the BDibital Global Congress institutional act, the awarding of the prize began by informing us of the good news: Zyncro was the prize winner in the category for “small companies and entrepreneurs”!! :D

The joy was let loose at the Zyncro Barcelona office, the attendees at BDigital hugged each other, from both places we began to publish comments on Zyncro, tweeting, publishing on Facebook… how exciting!

Collecting the prize was Dídac Lee and the Chairman of Inspirit, business group and Zyncro parent company as well as Albert Sampietro, CTO at Zyncro.

The delight on Didac and Albert’s faces said it all.  It was a sheer honor to receive that prize after three hard years crossing dessert sands, a time in which Zyncro evolved, searching for its place in the marketplace, its very own functions, its personality… until it became the robust product with a clear identity that it is today: a business social network an intranet 2.0 in the cloud in which knowledge, documents and  people live side by side and interact with each other for the improvement of communication, productivity and motivation within the company.

Thanks go out to the judges, to the participants, to the business partners… and of course, to the members of the team. :)  Without them it would not have been possible to even get to that scenario… but overall to their families, who always support the workloads of these insatiable entrepreneurs.

And a special mention for our CEO, Luis Font, currently in Brazil where he is opening our new office and without whom Zyncro would not be setting off on the journey it is beginning… we would also like to add a dear THANK YOU to all of you who have congratulated us on Twitter, Facebook, in person or via e-mail.  It is such an honor to receive so much support via so many different channels! :D

If you would like to know more about the event and the awarding of the prize, you can follow the following Storify of the second day at the event (in Spanish, thanks @pisetpiset) or the press release issued by BDigital.

In addition, we will be waiting for you to join us today for the presentation about “Corporate Social Networks” at the event that will take place between 11:30 and 12:30 during the BEST PRACTICES MARKETING AND THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS WITHINT THE COMPANY session.

    Thanks everyone.  Zyncronized!
